Choose the type of wood you’d like for your grips, and I can source it specifically for your build. For a quicker turnaround—and to see the exact grain, color, and character your finished grips will have—you can also select from my available wood blanks. Because every piece of wood is unique, choosing an available blank lets you know exactly what will make your set one of a kind.

Government and Commander models use the same full-size grip dimensions, while Officer models use a shorter grip frame and require a different grip size. Government/Commander grips are currently available. Officer-size grips are temporarily unavailable while I establish a more reliable sizing reference to ensure proper fit and consistency before offering them.

Choose the bottom profile that best fits the look and setup of your 1911. Standard Bevel features a beveled bottom with a relief cut for access to the mainspring housing pin, while Exhibition Bevel provides a clean, uninterrupted beveled edge with no pin cutout. Magwell Cut removes the bevel entirely, allowing the grips to follow the profile of an installed magwell. Because magwell dimensions vary by manufacturer and model, exact alignment with every aftermarket magwell cannot be guaranteed.

Choose between a Satin or Gloss finish to complement the character of your grips. Both finishes receive the same careful preparation, with the wood pores filled and the surface progressively sanded to 1000 grit for a smooth, refined feel. Satin provides a softer, low-sheen appearance that highlights the wood naturally, while Gloss adds a deeper, more reflective finish that brings out the color, grain, and figure of the wood.

Wallace Arms will continue expanding its custom offerings as new techniques and capabilities are developed. Future options are planned to include thumb scoops, hand checkering, custom laser engraving, bobtail profiles, and other personalized details. These options will be introduced as they are refined to ensure they meet the same standards of fit, finish, and craftsmanship as every Wallace Arms grip set.

For now, email is the best way to place an order with Wallace Arms. Send a message with the wood, size, bottom profile, finish, and any other details you have in mind, and I’ll work with you directly to finalize your grip set. Questions and special requests are always welcome.
